Business Controller
At Six Robotics, we build intelligent software that gives Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) the ability to collaborate, adapt on the fly, and execute missions that were previously impossible. From our base in Oslo, our 70+ experts in defence, software, and AI develop our product, our flagship autonomy and swarm platform used by both government and industry. In close partnership with the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), we move fast from concept to live deployment, often in the field alongside end users.
We work with advanced hardware and software, a modern tech stack, and missions that demand both technical mastery and operational discipline. Everyone is close to the action, from deep technical problem-solving to field operations. We move fast and value clarity, integrity, and teamwork in everything we do.
At Six Robotics, every person executes with precision, adapts to changing conditions, and strengthens the team. Getting in is hard, and you’ll be challenged every day. But if you have the skill, the discipline, and the drive to push your limits, you’ll find no better place to deliver real-world impact while collaborating and learning from the best in the field.
About the Role
The company is currently undergoing a phase of significant scaling, high investment activity, and increasing complexity. This places greater demands on clear financial governance and strong decision-making foundations. As a result, we are now seeking a Business Controller who will become an integrated part of the business area, with clear ownership of financial follow-up, analysis, and reporting. A key and exciting aspect of the role will be hands-on involvement in project controlling, ensuring robust financial oversight, performance tracking, and value creation across ongoing initiatives.
What You Will Do
Reporting and Analysis
Ensure comprehensive monthly reporting and financial follow-up of the business area's production sites
Analyze financial performance, production variances, and cost drivers, and prepare decision-making support for management
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Long-Term Planning
Support forecasting and budgeting processes, including analysis of performance against targets and plans
Contribute with financial analysis and insights in budgeting and strategic planning processes
Project Controlling
Compile and monitor financial status and cost development in larger development projects
Identify deviations from business cases and contribute to structured follow-up across projects and programs
Decision Support and Analysis
Analyze pricing models and profitability in larger tenders, including scenario and sensitivity analyses
Perform ad hoc analyses and contribute to the development of reporting and analytical tools
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you are analytical, structured, and business-oriented. You take ownership of the numbers, understand the bigger picture, and confidently challenge when necessary. You build trust through quality, precision, and clear communication.
You thrive as a sparring partner close to the business, balancing structured analytical work with more complex and dynamic problem-solving. At the same time, you are curious and ambitious, motivated by contributing to larger development and investment processes in a fast-growing organization.
On the hard skills side of things, we are looking for someone who has:
Higher education in finance, economics, or accounting
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in business controlling, auditing, consulting, or similar roles
Experience with financial follow-up across multiple entities, sites, or complex organizations
Strong understanding of the relationship between operations, investments, and strategy
Advanced Excel skills, and experience with Xledger, Power BI or similar systems is an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Norwegian and English
We don’t expect you to have all the answers from day one. But if you’re the kind of person who gets energy from building, solving, and figuring things out as you go, and who knows how to be pragmatic when things move faster than you’d maybe like, then we would love to speak to you.
